Forum Ground Rules
 
Candidates will arrive by the scheduled time.  The forum will begin on time.
There will be no substitute speakers for candidates.
 
Candidate brochures will be placed on the table provided.  No material will be handed out.
If candidate cannot attend, someone may put information on the table.
 
No yard signs will be allowed.
 
Only the forum greeter will meet attendees at the door.
 
Seating will be assigned by the sponsor.  Names will be in front of candidates.
 
Sponsor will provide drinking water for each candidate.
 
Microphones will be provided as needed.  Candidates may need to share them.
 
The moderator will be seated near candidates, facing the audience, and will explain and enforce the procedures.
 
Timekeeper will be seated in the first row in front of the audience.
 
Candidates will be informed, in advance, of times allowed for opening and closing statements.
 
QUESTIONS (not statements) will be written on cards provided to attendees and brought to the moderator.  They will be scanned in advance for duplication.  The moderator will decide order of asking questions - trying to cover the most topics in time allowed.
 
With most forums there is time at the end for attendees and candidates to talk.
